I offer individual therapy for motivated adults.  I also work with older adolescents who choose to engage in therapy.  I refer elsewhere if family-based treatment with more parental involvement is required, such as when an adolescent is unwilling to meaningfully engage in therapy.  

Sessions last approximately 45-53 minutes, depending on your needs and insurance's policies.

I treat the following types of problems:

  • Worry and anxiety

  • Obsessions and compulsions

  • Perfectionism

  • Trauma, PTSD

  • Depression

  • Binge eating

  • Bulimia

  • Body image problems

  • Intense emotions or unstable mood

  • Self-destructive behaviors

  • Grief and loss

  • Life transitions

  • Relationship problems and boundary-setting

  • Dealing with difficult people

  • Caring for loved ones with personality disorders

I can provide the following treatments:

  • Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT)

    • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)​

    • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

    • Prolonged Exposure (PE)

  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

    • Mentalization-Based​

    • Transference-Focused

Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) and Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) are alternatives to DBT for those who may not connect to a mindfulness-based or skills-focused approach.

I also provide consultation, licensure supervision, and public speaking/teaching.

I am an in-network provider for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and United Healthcare/United Medical Resources.

I also offer a sliding-scale fee to a limited number of patients.  

I offer in-person and tele-health appointments.
